The Chamber of Commerce was established in 1910 as a not-for-profit organization to promote, support and advance the Clintonville area businesses and industrial sections of our community as well as our surrounding communities. Our goal is to be the main organization through which all other facets of community life, clubs, schools, organizations, churches and private citizens, as well as business and industrial people, can focus their efforts for the betterment of Clintonville and surrounding area, enabling all to enjoy the “Good Life Unlimited”.
The Chamber office was located at several different locations throughout Clintonville until 2012 when the current location at 1 S. Main Street was purchased as the permanent home for the Chamber of Commerce. Over 150 businesses and organizations support and work together with a 9-member Board of Directors, a part-time Executive Director and part-time Administrative Assistant to promote member’s business, community events and tourism. The office serves as the primary communication center for providing information about area events, facilities, relocation, and clubs and organizations. There is also an area within the office for displaying free tourist information including Wisconsin Community Guides and area attractions that are available to the public.
The Chamber mission statement was also changed in 2012 to “Partnering with businesses to promote and educate members while enhancing tourism to benefit Clintonville and surrounding communities”. A statement that better describes what the Chamber does on a daily basis.
One of our goals is to provide this website to highlight the many resources in our community as well as surrounding communities, encouraging our residents and visitors to experience Clintonville and the surrounding area.
